As we express our gratitude, we must never forget
that the highest appreciation is not to utter words,
but to live by them.
-John Fitzgerald Kennedy
As unbelievable as it is to me, the holiday season is, once again, upon us. I, personally, can’t believe how fast this year has flown by – although, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every day of it. Despite the fact that I am thankful for the many blessings in my life on a regular basis – this time of year makes me reflect not only on my personal blessings, but the blessings I see all around me.
With that said, many companies have much to be grateful for this year. For every company, if your doors (cyber or otherwise) are still open, you should count your blessings. It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone – and making it this far is an accomplishment that should be celebrated.
It’s true―the economy is improving, slowly but surely. Credit card issuers report that delinquencies have slowed and sales have improved. Talks about the recession and the economic crisis have subsided and chatter about #BlackFriday, #CyberMonday and #SmallBusinessSaturday have taken their place.
According to Forrester, US consumers are expected to spend nearly $60 billion online in November and December and according to IMRG, online spend is up 20% year over year in Europe, estimating that Europeans will spend over $52 billion Euros online this year.
As a company, we are grateful for…
You…our readers (our clients/prospective clients, team members/prospective team members); without you, anything we write about would be lost in cyberspace.
(Power to) the people…I am grateful for social media as a whole, considering it is why I started working for VIPdesk – It has also changed the way companies do business – It forces them to do their best, or pay the consequences.
On a personal note, I am expecting my first child in January, so for that, I am truly grateful. I am also grateful to have a job that I love with a company where I know that I am appreciated and one where I am an integral part of the process; a company that is made up of great leaders and representatives who work hard to service our amazing clients–many of which are global brand leaders who trust us with their most precious asset…their brand reputation.
Allow me to leave you with this quote:
If you haven’t all the things you want,
be grateful for the things you don’t have
that you wouldn’t want.
